Design,Detailing and Testing of Transmission line Towers
Although many detailed engineering projects were done, the stand out project is the successful testing of a 33kV D/C tower for Maintenance Engineering Sdn. Bhd (MESB)., Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The tower was designed and detailed by JTT, fabricated at MESB and transported to Chennai for full scale testing.
Full scale proto type testing is a contractual obligation in transmission line tower Industry.
The tower base welded to test bed fixtures, was fully erected and tested in front of Clients successfully for the stipulated conditions.
After successful testing, the participants who witnessed the test had to take a picture , which will be attached with the test report as per ISO norms.
The tower was tested at the test bed of Structural Engineering Research centre (SERC) in Chennai.
