Jhamuna Tower Tech

Tower loading validation analysis (TLVA) and Pole loading validation analysis (PLVA)

Over a period of time, many towers in service would have reached the saturation limit with regard to operators (number of GSM and MW antennas).

However many clients wants to add some additional antennas without any major strengthening to be done on the towers. This process is called for towers TLVA and PLVA for poles, which is expanded at top.

A team will visit the site where the towers/poles are located and measure every detail of antenna, the orientation of them, the exact levels on which they are mounted, the condition of the tower with respect to existing available drawings/report. The location of ladders (climbing and cables) the number of cables on the tower, the distribution of the same in cable rack, etc will also be noted.

Some utilities have the complete details of the towers/poles. But mostly many users do not have any data. Hence JTT has to capture the complete details such as the member sizes, the location of splices, the bolts used for connections with the strength, etc. In addition the verticality check will also be carried out on the tower to find out the sway/twist due to a number of cyclones the tower would have faced during its service.

Then the tower will be modeled using 3-D space frame modules and analysed for the existing loading with Staad Pro V8 software and the design of members, joints etc will be checked for additional possibility of loading.

A technical report will be prepared with proper certification for stability of the tower/poles.
